Emoticon All (New)
What is Emoticon?
Emoticon = Emotion + Icon. Also known as Kaomoji (Japanese).
Emoticons are icons made using punctuation marks, numbers, and letters, typically written to express human emotions or facial expressions. Here, we collect popular emoticons. Scott Fahlman was the first person recorded using emoticons :-) and :-( in 1982. Initially, ASCII characters were used to compose emoticons, rotated 90 degrees to simulate facial expressions. In 1986, Japanese people changed emoticons so they could be read without tilting the head. Later, people added full-width characters common in Asian writing, making the expressions more rich. In recent years, emoticons have added body movements and gestures, and the expression themes have become more diverse. Here we collect commonly used emoticons.
